Every seawall cost tool you will find asks for your name and phone number before it shows you anything, then returns a number it made up. This one does neither. There is no form in front of the result, and there is no single number at the end of it, because the published Florida record disagrees with itself by roughly 8x and any single figure drawn from it would be an editorial choice presented as arithmetic.
What the tool does is honest and modestly useful: it takes the length of your wall, applies each published rate to it, and shows you the resulting spread with every publisher named. The value is in seeing how wide the real range is before a contractor gives you a number inside it.
Most Florida canal lots have between 60 and 120 feet of shoreline. Pace it if you do not know — the point of this tool is the width of the answer, not its precision.

Permitting is quoted separately by most sources. Published Florida permit figures run $500–$2,000 (general) and $1,500–$6,000 (South Florida). Demolition and disposal of the existing wall, dock and boat lift interference, void filling behind the wall, and hardscape reinstatement are all commonly excluded from a per-linear-foot rate and are all commonly present on a real job.

How to use the output
Treat the width as the finding. If a quote you have received sits inside this envelope, that tells you almost nothing on its own — the envelope is wide enough to accommodate nearly any honest quote and a good number of dishonest ones. What the output is genuinely good for is the opposite test: a quote sitting well outside it, in either direction, deserves a specific explanation.
A quote far below the envelope is usually excluding something — demolition, permitting, anchors, disposal, or the length of adjacent wall that also has to go. A quote far above it is usually including something the published sources are not contemplating, such as barge access, dock removal and reinstatement, or an elevation requirement that turns a replacement into a larger project. Both are answerable questions, and the eleven variables that actually move the number is where to look for the vocabulary to ask them.
The variable this tool cannot see
Length is the input because every published figure is per linear foot. It is not, however, the variable that decides most quotes. What decides them is the failure mechanism — whether the anchors have gone, whether the panels have cracked, whether the backfill is still there — and that determines which band you are in before length does anything at all.

What has to be established before any number is real
A range becomes a price when somebody has been to the property and established the things that decide which end of it applies. Until then every figure above — and every figure a contractor gives you — is a position rather than a measurement.
- The bed elevation at the toe, measured along the run. This is underwater, invisible from the property, and the most common thing missing from a cheap assessment.
- The condition of the anchors, which is the single largest structural difference between a cheap quote and an expensive one and is invisible in the finished wall.
- How much backfill has already been lost, established by probing rather than by the size of the dip in the lawn. It is volume, and nobody knows it from the surface.
- Whether the scope would be classified locally as substantial repair, which in some jurisdictions converts a rebuild into a larger project on the regulator’s terms.
Every symptom in the failure library ends with three questions to put to whoever proposes work on it — each answerable in a sentence by somebody who did the work and unanswerable by somebody who did not. Read the three for whatever your wall is actually doing before you approve a number based on it. That is a better use of the next ten minutes than a narrower range.

- Do I have to give my details to use it?
- No. There is no form in front of the result and no email required. If you want a person to read a description of your situation afterwards, that is a separate and optional thing.
